My mother used to go here and I followed suite and I even got a friend to get her blouses done from them.
I absolutely love their range of fabrics and the style and stitching. The ladies running this place are thorough professionals. Yes, they try to upsell but they advise sincerely and try to give you the best deal. It's an absolute value for money and I hope they run like this forever.

One of the oldest ladies tailoring shops in Kalighat area. Started in 1962 and now it has become legendary. Founder was Mrs. Dutt and now it is run by the second generation. They have a huge list of loyal customers who stay satisfied with their service. Though the charges are a bit on the higher side, their craftsmanship is impeccable. This shop is just a few yards away from Kalighat Metro Station. Sales and measurments are done on the first floor and deliveries are from the ground floor. All female staff.

Extremely rude and unnecessary insulting behaviour from staff as well as the owner. Never going back to this shop. More than helping with garments,they taunt. Very disappointed and unexpected to find this shop turn into this.

Absolutely love all the ladies at this location of Ladies Own Tailors, near Kalighat Metro. Since early 2016, I have visited this establishment many times; and, I have yet to be disappointed. With our mamabari nearby, I can't imagine going anywhere else - a favorite stop each and every trip to Kolkata for this foren bou!
