Happy Stitches

I gave Kalai a blouse first, and she messed up the style after clearly discussing with her the required style, with all relevant pictures. It was a relief that she acknowledged her mistake and took steps to counter her mistakes so that I can wear the blouse for an immediate occasion. Even though she was bad at her work, but was responsible enough than the other tailors I had previously dealt with, I had trusted her with one more Chudidhar set. Total disaster. It was very good pure cotton rich looking set, and she didn't even care to adhere to the measurements. The chest measurement was in her book, but the stitching was FLAT! I am not kidding, FLAT. Something a 3 year old should wear. I asked her repeatedly if she stitched it herself or she assigned my piece as a training garment for her students. That bad and obvious. She tried fixing it, but it is still bad. The way she has fixed it, the neck cut shows my bra's edges, but if that is fixed, then my arm hole will cut inside my skin. And the gathering pant bottom, each leg is of different length. Photo is attached. This time, when I was discussing with her, she didn't even acknowledge her mistake, was very dismissive, and kept saying "size correct ah thaan eduthen, eppadi 32 vandhuchu?". It took all my power not to loose control in her presence. I just silently thought to myself to look farther for a better tailor. Even if I waste petrol, my garment wouldn't go waste. I am posting this review after 6-7 months of getting the cudidhar, becauuse I am ironing it right now, and it triggers the same anger in me as it did then. I have to adjust with the wrong measurement, cover the neckline completely with duppatta so that my bra is not seen by the world. A good tailor would've understood that.
