I left Ranchi at the age of 22 in 1978 and moved to UK . A.D. Paul even in those times was a prestigious establishment of the small hill station called Ranchi then with the main Road hardly 20 feet wide with no dividers and the city hardly had may be 100 cars which were rarely visible on the roads. Even a Bajaj Scooter was something which was a luxury.
I remember A.D.Paul of those times where men used to buy Suite pieces from either Delhi or Kashmir Vastralaya or Ved textiles and carry it to A.D.Paul for getting it tailored abd a suite stitched by them was a proud possession
The family then even was very humble, polite although their charges were higher than the tailors of Delhi or Calcutta, but still one suite from A.D.Paul used to be a dream of the middle class.i still remember their shop on Main Road on the left side if you are travelling to firayalal with a small books and magazine shop in the corridor which too was popular with the upper class . Located near Punjab sweet house, main road. If you are planning for a wedding or need curated design, undoubtedly visit this store. Yes, charges are high and their requirements of clothes is lil extra as compared to other tailors but it is worth for your important days. They also sells fabrics and men wearables accessories.

Poor experience. I called them to check if they open. They said they are open. When I reached there they said they are not accepting orders and will not for the next 45 days. Point is if you know you can't service customers why to tell them that you are open. Simply wasted my time. Learn some business sense. When someone calls you update them on calls that you are not open to take fresh orders.
