I visited Ethnic Story to get a ready-made saree stitched for my mom and they welcomed me pleasantly. I was also tempted to buy a fabric—it was rich, elegant, and perfect for a wedding—so I decided to give it for stitching there as well.
I was truly impressed by their attention to detail. They noted even the smallest things. I had mentioned that when I walk, my plazo pants tend to ride up, and they stitched it so thoughtfully that the issue was completely resolved. While taking the waist measurement, they even made me sit and measured carefully.
This was the first time I experienced such a personalized and professional approach, and I was genuinely amazed. The outfit was delivered before the due date, and the charges were very nominal. For such perfect stitching and excellent service, we didn’t feel like bargaining at all.
A truly satisfying experience—I feel very lucky to have found such amazing craftsmanship and care.

I got three bridal blouses stitched here — two simple blouses and one katori blouse for my wedding lehenga. All three came out extremely tight because the measurements were taken incorrectly. Even after multiple trips for alterations, the fit barely improved, and one staff member kept insisting it was “fine.”
The wedding blouse was the biggest disappointment. It was supposed to be a katori style, but it turned out to be some other tight, uncomfortable design — I’m not even sure what. Two other tailors later confirmed it wasn’t made to my measurements at all. After several fixes in odd places, I was finally able to salvage it.
Overall, very disappointed with the service and would not recommend this place for bridal blouses.

I have been going to Ethnic Story since its doors opened. I had peeped into see if they sell readymade dresses or blouses at the first visit. But after that i have given every saree blouse to Yashodhara for designing and stitching. She and her team always comes up with what I want, taking care to understand who I am, the occasion, etc. She has dyed fabric for blouses and petticoats to suit my sarees, has done countless emergency stitching every time I needed it. The embroidery work that is done there is very fine and ever lasting. Her fabric collection is fabulous and one can always find the right material to stitch a salwar kameez or a lehenga or any thing you want. I am truly grateful to Yashodhara and Ethnic Story for making me feel elegant and beautiful in their creations.

My wife regularly gets her clothes stitched at ETHNIC STORY so once while accompanying my wife I asked Yashodhara if she will stich a kurta she gladly agreed. Not only did she stich it beautifully but also got it embroidered and made a matching pant for it. I think they understand customer satisfaction totally. Being a ladies boutique she went out of her way to stich gents clothes just to satisfy her customer. Similarly I have seen her alter my wife's old clothes into "new" clothes by adding new designs. She has an amazing sense of design, material and colors. I wish ETHNIC STORY a grand success and let their STORY spread all over.

After initial hiccups with fitting and other details, now I am a big fan of Ethnic story and the team involved. Not a good experience at all. They charge like a professional but the final product has no fining at all. They don't know the basic concepts of stitching. Very incompetent tailors. I gave them a sample shirt and asked them to stitch it exactly like that and the designer confidentilly assured me that it will be stitched exactly like the sample piece. But it was nothing like the sample shirt. Even after taking the measurements they shortened the height of my sleeves. The sleeve button holes are not made properly. They almost tore the cloth while making the holes. The front tucks are stitched incorrectly. The designer is very manipulative and doesn't admit the mistakes. "If you can't make it as expected then don't promise" is what I want to say. Won't recommend to anyone

The best ideation and designing that you can get in Pune city! I was lucky to find Ethnic Story as I had been in search for a good designer since a long time. It started off with designing some suits and blouses, and the results were so good that I never looked anywhere else. I later got all my wedding outfits designed from Yashodhara. They became the talk of the party during my wedding as each one of them looked beyond beautiful! And nobody could believe that all that intricate work happened virtually over phone calls and WhatsApp! Ethnic Story always exceeds my expectations in terms of fabric varieties and the craftsmanship. The team is very talented and the staff very helpful. Yashodhara is quite meticulous and patient herself and I love that she’s into details the way I am and is completely invested in the designing process. She has brought all my dream outfit ideas into reality. The prices can definitely get expensive here but rest assured that the quality and workmanship is like no other. My experience with Ethnic Story was just too good. Owners are great and have a great sense of style. They know exactly what I wanted. The owner is courteous and cooperative but the staff is extremely non cooperative. Firstly they will never call/msg you whether your order is ready or not
Secondly when you give them a call, they won’t respond properly with the status of your order. Told me they will call up and inform , the call never came !
Had given my wedding clothes for stitching, ruined the entire fitting even after second round of alteration. Extremely disappointing!
No use of taking measurements At all.

Best boutique in pune. Quite costly but it's worth it any pattern we give for stitching is made exactly the same way. Also the dying of fabrics is also really good. The hand embroidery and zardozi work is also awesome.

Worst customer service. Highly priced but stitching is simply not worth the price they incur from customers. I gave 3 handloom fabric kurtas for stitching. The kurtas were not made as per the design I mentioned and the designer was not even apologetic about it, forget the compensation amount. Just 1/4 mtr out of the 1 mtr ethnic fabric peices given for designing were used in the Kurta, and when asked for the remaining fabric they denied it saying I never gave them 1 meter fabric( whereas I hold a receipt of the 1 meter fabric purchased from a renowned store). The owner questioned me 'what am i gonna do with your leftover fabric' but i wish to state that customers arent fools to not understand what side business can be done with ethnic fabric peices. For a simple addition in the design they charge us 50-100rs per modification, but when they ruin this same design they won't compensate even a penny... Customers are the once to compromise... One more thing to look out for is their billing book... They mention customer's name, address, the design details on it with the carbon sheet beneath, but when it comes to writing the bill amount they tear the sheet and write the amount only on this customer copy... What goes on the store owner's sheet, is unfathomable! All in all a very dissapointing experience and a point of caution to all who're looking out for a visit to this boutique.
