Gafoor Bhai is an amazing tailor. I’m from London and usually stay in Powai when visiting Mumbai. I always travel to my regular tailor in Mulund but this time was short on time so looked online for someone close by. Came across Pink Lady with good reviews. I wanted 2 saris turned into chaniya cholis and one sari blouse made. Omg, the job done is stunning, the chanya cholis look amazing and the blouse fits to perfection (all based of measurements taken at the shop). The stitching and finishing is brilliant. Gafoor Bhai is also very personable and funny too unlike most tailors! Found my new tailor in Powai. Highly recommend.

Even if it's the most complicated design, he is able to recreate the pattern beautifully. You can trust him even with your most expensive material for the best designer outfits. The fitting and finishing of the clothes is always on point. Moreover, he is usually timely in completing the stitching as per the date given and is available most of the time in his shop, which makes it very convenient. Bhaiyaa did outstanding job with my blouses. his stitching and attention to details is great , I faced some issues in my wedding blouse cause I went to another aari work designer and that person basically ruined my vidhi blouse piece but bhai did great job there too. he basically saved my blouse . I got 7 blouses stitched from him and I am happy with the work he did.

The stitching was good, but the actual tailoring was shit...
We asked for 36 inseam, and the tailor did a 35, so now the pants are too short. When confronted with this, the tailor had the audacity to say, "I cut at 36, so it is your fault."
If this is the attitude of this place and their staff, then I strongly urge all to go elsewhere. There is no professionalism or pride in thieir work here.

Best part is if he disagrees with the material or matching pair he asks to change it. He says if your are paying then make sure it's of good quality. "Aapka Paisa and hamari mehnat waste." Gafoor has been tailoring our clothes ever since we moved to Mumbai in 2016. We are so glad we found him. His workmanship has evolved over the years, and he always keeps trying new things, especially when it comes to his blouse designs - they are amazing! The best thing is that he has never refused to do work for me, even in the busiest times. He did all my wedding outfits and sarees. We have worked with him in off-seasons and in very chaotic times; he has never failed to produce good work. Frankly, we come all the way from Sion to Powai for a simple stitching job, because my mom and I really can't trust anyone else to handle our clothes anymore. He is a jolly fellow (unlike most tailors who are grumpy), so good at his work that he can chat and work at the same time, making it look effortless as if he is working alone.
