I am from Varanasi and I have heard a lot about Unique Tailors and it's bespoke tailoring. When I got a chance to go to Lucknow, I visited their shop.
Bobby Bhai is a very humble and friendly person and has a great sense of fashion.
I got a Hunter shirt stitched by them and I must say the result was beyond my expectations.

One of the worst tailoring I have ever seen. Exorbitant stitching and very casual way of taking measurements resulting in poor fittings. Poorer output than probably the most basic tailoring. One should think 10 times before choosing.

Really worst tailor. More like frauds. Give them linen club Shirt and trouser. They fitted it for my double sized. They outsource your costly purchase to cheap roadside tailors. Very disappointing. Avoid at any cost if your fabric is costly.

A decent tailoring shop located in Janpath close to the metro station. Though the timings mentioned are not properly correct. Whilst the shop technically opens at 11, for all intents and purposes, the actual folks only come much later. So, if you are going there to get something stitched , better go after noon.

Great place to go to. I had 2 suits stitched from them. Firstly, they agreed to turn them around in less than a week, including a fitting trial, which was awesome! The stitch and fitting quality is second to none. The suits turned out really well!
It was so good to see that Bobby bhai, who I mainly interacted with, takes pride in his artisanship, and wanted to show the small details of workmanship they attend to. These guys are the absolute best in town bar none. They have clothed 3 generations of my family and each one of us has been extremely happy with their work every single time. I’ve lived in the US for most of my adult life and have worn suits from all major international brands, but nothing has ever come close in fit to the suits made by Unique Tailors. They pay attention to detail and their work is always immaculate. Their service has always been timely even when our family has placed large volumes of work and difficult time constraints on them. I loved tailored suits because they fit better and you can customise it according to your liking. I happen to travel a lot to different countries and therefore got many opportunities to make suits in Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea and Singapore where I live these days. I was traveling to my home town Lucknow for a wedding and decided to make a custom suit in Lucknow. After searching on the net I came across Unique tailor in Hazartganj who had great reviews. I checked with my friends and they too recommended Unique Tailor in Lucknow as the best in the craft of making custom suits. I visited them on 15th Dec and met with Bobby who shared his lineage and history of his shop. He is second generation suit maker and I was impressed with his knowledge about bespoke tailoring. He took my measurement and gave me some suggestions about what kind of suit would fit me the best. We took the trial on 19th Dec and got the delivery on 25th Dec. It was a perfect fit. I would say that he definitely lived upto his reputation. Bobby is a gentleman who knows his craft and I would recommend Unique tailor for your next suit while in Lucknow.

रेडीमेड कपड़ों के युग में, वर्षों के लम्बे अन्तराल के बाद एक बार फिर से दर्जी से सिले हुए कपड़े पहने की इच्छा हुई, लिहाज़ा हज़रतगंज के रेमंड शोरूम से काफ़ी छानबीन कर दो जोड़ी पैन्ट- शर्ट के कपड़े लेकर आ गए । स्कूल के दिनों से ही जनपथ के बेसमेंट में मौजूद यूनिक़ टेलर का नाम सुना हुआ था लेकिन अमूमन रेमंड के टेलर से ही सिलवा लिया करते थे । By default स्लिम-फिट सिली पैंट कभी रास नहीं आयी । हुज़ूर ने जो रेगुलर-फिटिंग वाली पैंट सिल कर दी वह बेहद तसल्ली बख़्श रही, हालाँकि सिलाई की क़ीमत तनिक अखर रही थी ।

From start to finish, my experience with Bobby Bhai was absolutely fantastic.

My Zegna suit length drove me to Unique Tailors from Allahabad. I was told that only UT has the wherewithal to stitch such fabrics. Apprehensive at first, but all doubts vanished from the moment I walked. My first impression was that the people out there are extremely knowledgeable. They clearly knew what's needed to be done in this case. The measurement was done and was asked to come for trial after 15 days.
What came out during the trial was amazing. The suit was so perfectly stitched that it did not need any further alteration. The suit was delivered immediately after the trial. The fitting has come out perfect. The "fall" of the trouser is quite unlike I am used to seeing in stitched suits.
I would highly recommend UT. They have already carved a niche for themselves and the review is only for the benefit of customers like me looking for perfect tailoring.
