Disappointed with the Tailoring, Despite a Good Start – The Raymond Shop, Jadavpur I recently visited The Raymond Shop in Jadavpur, hoping for a complete experience — good fabric, polite service, and quality tailoring. It started off well. The staff were polite, respectful, and the collection of fabrics was impressive. Compared to other Raymond outlets, they offered great variety at reasonable rates. But sadly, things went downhill after that. I got a 3-piece suit and two white shirts made from this outlet. While the material quality was absolutely fine, the tailoring left a lot to be desired. The final outcome just didn’t reflect the style or fit I had envisioned. What really bothered me was the lack of involvement from the tailor. He didn’t take the time to understand my preferences or guide me through the design process. If you’re not someone who knows every detail of how you want your suit — lapel style, fitting, pocket cut, cuff width, etc. — you might end up with something generic and underwhelming. Honestly, the only reason I’m even giving a star is because of the staff’s courteous behavior. But beyond that, it didn’t feel like the Raymond standard I expected. Recommendation? If you're experienced with suits and can clearly instruct the tailor, you might still get something decent from this outlet. Otherwise, for better tailoring and customized styling, I’d suggest visiting The Raymond Shop at South City Mall. They may charge a bit more, but they definitely deliver in terms of design and precision — just don’t go there for fabric deals.

I have been a regular customer here from last 10 years and every time I visit this store I feel very welcomed. The staff here is very helpful and patient and listen to your questions and answers them with all possible knowledge. A 5 star review from my side for this store. 0 hospitality no manners how to treat your customer they will treat you good if you're coming for the first time and they will just ignore you if you are coming for the second time to receive your product or stuff. If you want some good quality suit blazers or other things you can definitely come here but don't expect a good behaviour from staff.

Today I visited that shop to exchange a t-shirt I got as a gift from one of my relatives. The shop was empty. I must say that they lack of variety and size and patience. I started unfolding some t-shirt while choosing and the executive told me not to unfold any t-shirt. Without unfolding how could I see the design and how could I choose one for me ? I did not like the behaviour of them.

Raymonds Jadavpur has detoriarated considerably. I have been a customer with them since last 5 years but the recent behavior of the staffs enforces me to put this review. They never encourage you to avail company offers and the person who sits at the billing desk is extremely ill behaved, cunning and misguides you in availing company offers. Please try to avoid the showroom at Jadavpur.
