Had an unexpectedly disgraceful experience over here. This caused unnecessary harrasment including waste of time, money and most importantly, expectations. Had given two sets of blouses, one for mother and one for me. First of all they lost my mother's blouse, claiming that "it has gone out of the country to some other customers". Also, was not satisfied with my blouse. What surprised me is their way of addressing our "misplacement of blouse" and subsequent issues arising out of these. They attributed my dissatisfaction with my Blouse to me "not being attuned" to wearing saree and blouse.
They never seemed sorry for the unnecessary trouble they caused us.
Absolutely disgusting and arrogant attitude and Behaviour of the sardarji Sir over there. I refrained myself from expressing my anger, considering his age and seniority. He was judgemental and made unnecessary, intimating remarks.
Guys, if you are considering going there, I will say the price and everything IS NOT WORTH THE HYPE AT ALL.

Worst experience of life , my partner was on the verge of killing me for a surprise blouse I made from here . I had to sleep empty stomach for 2 nights after that. I had done some good deeds in life that she forgave me on the 3rd day because she understood reading the reviews that they are the problem not me .
Guys , please save yourself try some other place .

Extremely disappointed with this tailor store. The staff behaved very rudely and unprofessionally. They stitched a blouse that was uncomfortably tight and then refused to fix it, saying my sister “doesn’t know how blouse fittings work” and even commented that “girls of this generation have no idea about blouses or Indian wear.”
To make things worse, they lost my mum’s blouse, which was given for stitching before an important family function, and casually said it “went to America with another customer.”
Such behaviour and negligence are unacceptable. Definitely not returning, and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am very happy with their craftsmanship, and professionalism, in fact, I lost my ticket, called them right away, and he helped me out, had no problem getting my merchandise, in fact it was before the due date, as I was in a hurry. I will definitely go there again and I will recommend them to everyone

I am a very old customer of Monohar.My friends whom I recommended recently got very disappointed but I didn’t believe them.today I received My blouse which is a total flop and I told them That I am the mother of the bride and that was my blouse for the day.Disgusting casual behaviour

I wish there was a provision to give 0 or negative star. These guys are complete fraudsters. Just like others I took a wrong decision to visit them. I gave an order to make a blouse from an expensive benarasi saree that was brought from a reputed shop just next to them. When they took the order for the blouse they did not mention anything. When we received the blouse , to our utter shock and dismay we saw that the entire breast part was made using a very poor quality lining cloth. They did not even use the cloth they took from the saree. When we challenged them they said that there was not sufficient cloth in the saree. In that case they should have informed while taking the order. We cross checked with the reputed saree shop and they confirmed that they give more than sufficient cloth to make a full sleeve covered blouse and still there would be left over cloth. These Manohar guyus are complete frauds. They just cheat customers. They take the cloth from your saree and sell it out separately or make blouses out of it and then they charge you to take additional cloth for your own blouse.
Please avoid them at all cost.

This shop used to be good but nowadays they’re just a money grabber. They’ll convince you to buy additional cloth for all your blouse regardless of whether it’s needed or not. Take the same saree to any other reputed tailor and they’ll easily be able to tailor a good blouse without any need for extra cloth.
Also the staff aren’t ready to hear any complaints you may have.

Worst experience. Staff are very rude and discourteous. Took 1800+ for a simple padded blouse with lining meant for a special day n then ruined the fittings. Bust fittings were totally off and the staff were not ready to hear any complaints. Very rude behaviour specially the person who takes the fittings. They said that blouse is perfect n if any alternations are requested they would do it but if the cloth becomes botched they won't take responsibility for it. How they thought the blouse is fitted ok is incomprehensible. It looks ridiculous. I wish i had checked out google reviews before visiting.

My grandma, mum, all aunties used to go to this shop for making their blouses ( made to order ) for last so many years!
Best job + cool head + no fuss!

I went here for my wedding day and wedding reception blouse tailoring. The main person, a tall bespectacled aging man, who takes the final calls on custom designs, is a terrible human being and has zero respect or even slightest decency towards the customers. He will not listen to his customer's request nor will he provide any constructive alternatives whatsoever. He aim in life is to belittle customers and call them mental if they question his opinion or method.
That aside, the wait time was too long - close to 3 hours - and then when my turn came to talk to the designer and give my measurements, I was rushed and did not feel satisfied with their service at all. They took over a month to deliver the two blouses and when they did, neither of them were per my request and both were ill-fitted. When I tried pointing that out, they simply did not want to hear me out and instead shouted at me for being unreasonable and wasting their time. They charged 2200/- per blouse and took over a month, and wasted two super expensive katan silk fabrics into making blouses that are just not good enough to wear to a regular event, let alone my own wedding. I am filled with regret that I ever went to this place and would never recommed it to anyone.

Worst service that I have ever received from a tailoring shop. I called them this afternoon and booked an appointment for tailoring service. But when I reached there they told that their technician have to go home early and it was just 6:30pm in the evening.
After taking appointment how can they refuse that, so unprofessional behaviour and also the main person the punjabi guy, he was so uncultured that he misbehaved with me.. So much disappointment 👎

This is the worst service ever for blouse making. They did not stick to any designs I gave them although they charged extra for design and many other things they in listed in the bill. Each blouse was coating me around RS 900 to rs 1000 per piece and the outcome was plain n simple blouses with no designs that was discussed and THE FITTING IS SUPER TIGHT. now I have to take it to another tailor to fix these. I am extremely disappointed with their behavior and work. They should either refund me or fix everything.

Worst experience ever. They refused to take order of blouse and behaved very rudely . Instead of taking order for my blouse piece they insisted me to buy a sample cut piece from their shop and prepare a sample blouse for which they took 1 month. Very bad experience.

Manohar used to be very good in their work few years back. But they have degraded significantly in their quality delivery in recent year.

Also, the blouses I gave them to make, out of 6 blouses, 2 blouses were made defective. No compensation was given for that. The new workmanship has thus degraded significantly. Very much upset by their works

I have been to many tailors in Kolkata but Manohar Tailors has to be the best, hands down. I am extremely happy with the attention to detail, the delivery speed, and the outcome of all the blouses and salwar suits that I got made from them.
Dada is very patient with his customers and gives the best possible suggestions of fit and design according to your taste and personality. After years of searching, I have finally found a place where I can get cloth materials stitched. :)
It is located right opposite to Triangular Park and is rather small. But don't get deceived by the size as the service packs a punch.
They even agreed to alter a salwar suit as I felt that it needed some altering. Needless to say, I am more than happy with their services.

Location is excellent, accessible from all parts of the city. A very traditional tailoring shop serving South Kolkata people for a long time. Mostly oldies and local people visit. Small shop but service is good. Charges are reasonable. Delivery time moderate. Opens in the morning.

Horrible experience.. they charged more than 1200/- for a blouse but a very bad tailoring experience. I have to wait for 3 hrs to let them stitch it again to make it wearable.. Lack of professionalism and also laziness since I reached.there at around 1.15pm but they asked me to come after.lunch which they have written in their receipt as 2pm

Tailor is good and experienced. Charges are on the higher side. It's a small store but whatever design you give, they can make. Delivery takes time almost a month and once they had lost an item given for stitching and took few more weeks to deliver

The employees here are little slow and traditional. If you keep calm & explain them properly what you want in your blouse they make it exact. They are good & delivers in time. The owner might sound rude at times but thats because of the crowd he handles. One of the oldest blouse makers in Kolkata. Highly recommended

Unfortunately they did not live up to their hype. They were nice enough to agree to an expedited delivery (extra fee Rs1500 each piece) , the blouses were so tight I could hardly breathe, when I asked them to loosen them they still kept them tight and the overall tailoring was quite poor.

This was my second visit to the place the first one being on the insistance of my MIL. I reached before 2pm. They told me that their lunch time was from 2-3pm and there were two people before me. They asked me to wait till 3pm or get any other work done within that time. I told them I have a small baby at home. But they insisted that I come after 3pm. I finished some work at Gariahat and came back around 3.40pm. There was a long queue before me and they told me it would take a lot of time so I had to wait. Thoroughly unprofessional people. They could have tried to accomodate me in the first half as I only had one piece of clothing. I told them I live outside Kolkata and had an infant waiting at home. But they didn't even bother asking how many items I had to estimate the timing!

I sent a sample with blouses to make. The sample was not returned multiple attempts to contact and request have failed. I have known the owner Shambhu for years. Service seems to have deteriorated. I am from US. This is absolutely not fair. Not good customer service

Worst behaviour ever! Even if they make the product good their behaviour is too bad! Specially that old man sitting out there is not at all cooperative & understanding. Very rude honestly! I don't know what attitude they have !! Is it because the shop is at Gariahat or what! Atleast my first experience is not worth it! Too negative!!!

Terrible and extremely rude behavior... The old man sitting over there doesn't have any courtesy to speak... The tailors there make extremely bad stitches... And if pointing to them they do not accept... Even if you do not like the tight fitting they will behave like extremely rude and refuse to admit....
Do not go there unless you want utmost harassment and humiliation....
