I gave my blouse here to stitch and they completely ruined it. The design I specifically shared with them was not followed at all instead, they made up their own version that looks nothing like what I wanted. The fit is wrong, and the blouse is now totally useless. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality and lack of professionalism. Won’t be coming back and would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

My sister-in-law is getting married and my wife thought we'll give the bridal saree blouse to be stitched from this place, as previously my wife had a good experience of stitching a blouse (normal one) from here. That was the biggest mistake we've made for our sister's wedding. They noted down all the things that we require for the bridal saree blouse, while following up saw that they're not working on it as per our instruction and they reconfirmed our instruction again for the second time, but even after confirming the instruction two times, they stitched it in a completely different way and that too with wrong measurements. When we went there and said Bridal Saree "Kolamayallo" they said don't say like that, don't say "Kolamayallo" and all. How else would I say it. They had only ONE JOB, stitch the blouse on the instructions provided(two times) and that too with the right measurement. They failed at that. Ok leave out the works on the blouse, what the hell happened with the measurements??? We then had to go elsewhere to do the damage control, but the blouse piece is already cut and stitched, there's not much we could do about how the work should be, but adjusted the measurements so that it somewhat fits her. Just think about the disappoinment my sister and us together have felt for the dress she has to wear for her big day. The funny thing is that we have given total of three blouses there to be stitched and the other two blouses were okay, I'm just thinking about how they could pick and mess up the most important piece of clothing (The Bridal Saree) from the ones we've given for the bride. I wouldn't have written this much if it was the other blouses. NEVER VISITING THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.

My recent experience with nirmal tailors has been nothing short of disappointment. Previously, around 8 months back, i had stitched 2 blouses, one for me and one for my mother. They were both decently stitched. But this time, i had given them a very simple light green coloured blouse to stitch, and i was shocked with what i received. Rs. 1200 for a simple sleeveless blouse was a bit on the higher side, to begin with. They had added a beading throughout the neck and border of my blouse which i had not asked them to do. Also the hem lines were very visible on the blouse which gave them a very shabby look. So i had asked them to remove the beading and give it a very normal border. But this time they had crossed all limits. They used a dark green thread on my light green blouse and was very very shabbily stitched with the border thickness varying at different places. When i called them upon receiving this altered version, the lady staff there was very rude. She was scolding me that this is how blouses are stitched there, and that she has left the store as her duty for the day was done, and she has no obligation to hear such complaints anymore. Very very disappointed with their work and behaviour. Never ever going to this shop again and will not recommend this to anyone. P.S: the blouse looks worse than the photo given.

We had a very bad experience. My wife gave stitching for rupees 1200. The same is not correct measurements. We had 2 visits to get the item. Post getting the item again it had wrong measurements. We waited for almost 1hr and the staff were not responsible. They are blaming each other and the owner is not taking responsibility. She is telling is not available. Very bad service, cost is too much for 1hr 2k and 1week for 1.2k. Please find a better place for convenient service.

I would definitely recommend Nirmal Garments for saree blouse stitching, provided you are ready to pay the extra (almost double) charges for the swift and almost flawless output. Mrs. Nirmala and her staff were very pleasant and understanding. Another highlight is that they are open on Sundays as well. I noticed some mixed reviews, which surprised me, because my experience was very good.

I had a very bad experience here. The stitching quality of my blouse was below standard and not done as per the measurements given. When I tried to raise my concerns, the staff behaved very rudely instead of addressing the issue. The tailors and in-charges were fighting and shouting in front of customers for their careless stitching which shows a complete lack of professionalism. Customer service is extremely poor. Definitely not worth the money. Won't recommend this place

Had a bad experience with the pricing and was scammed when the owner knew I was foreigner. On 27th Dec 2025, before handing salwar materials to her staff, I enquired the price for each piece and was informed INR1800 per piece and was informed same price for child too. Today when collecting, the owner said the price is double INR3,500 for my daughter as the design is Sharara design. Furthermore for basic stitching price increase from INR1800 to INR2,000 and the price also differs by each material. If there was a mistake on her staff part, Mdm Nirmala should just apologise and honour the price which the staff told rather than justifying to customer. We were totally scammed.

I went there last week and gave three blouses for stitching and collected them today. The owner charged me 3500 per blouse 😳She knew I am an NRI so charged me extra. When I asked her why so expensive she said because of fast service. The blouses didn’t have anything fancy to do. Just a hole in the back and regular necks!! Will not be going back there. She lost a good customer because she tried to rip me off 😣

Please don't go this place .had a very bad experience.the rude lady owner took measurements and instructions from me to get the blouse and skirt to be stitched and then gave me a bill of. 2200 rupees total to be paid .gave me a date after 4 days for delivery.when i went there the bill became 5500 rupees for stitching , when questioned she said the bill is already ready with this amount ...when I showed her the bill she said stitching charges here is this ....why am I arguing on it she asked .initially the amount fixed got doubled when went to collect .nirmala is a very rude and arrogant lady ....and this lady owner and its staff all play fraud.this place is a dirty scam and their work is worthless .plz don't go this place .

So you guys might be wondering why is a guy reviewing a ladies tailoring store😅. But I couldn’t resist myself. I have been to so many stiching places with my mom and sisters and everywhere they make us wait for hours, never deliver the items on time and always have a celebrity attitude. I came here with my wife who found this place after the same thing happened at another stitching place. I did not expect much. But we were pleasantly surprised that they delivered the items as promised and were super friendly and nice. I had talked with the owner Nirmala mam who was at her store and she told me that it has been 30 years since she started. The place is small but I assure you ladies it far better than all the big boutiques with lot of models where its all a facade and no substance. And believe me i have been to all of them with my mom and i know😅

I came to know about this place through google search and gave my blouse immediately for an hour stitching . Extremely mind blown by the way they have stitched . The stitching is remarkable and perfect . I did not even have a single alteration for the blouse given . For sure this will be a place I will look forward to stitch always !

I was in a hurry and needed to get a blouse stitched for a saree. While searching for options, a friend recommended this place mentioning that she gets almost all her dresses stitched there. She also told me thy are doing emergency stitching services, which was exactly what I needed. I visited the shop, provided my blouse piece, and they took my measurements. After few hours, I received a call saying the blouse was ready. When I tried it on in their trial room, For the first time, I had a blouse with a perfect fit and no need for any alterations. They did an amazing job, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend them to anyone in need of professional stitching services

My recent experience with them was extremely disappointing. I have gotten a blouse stitched here earlier (2 years ago) and it was well done and completed on the same day as I requested and charged me Rs.800. This time, for the same service, they asked me for a questionable amount of Rs.3500 for a single blouse. It didn’t fit as per the measurements and they took it to alter it again and it still is not well done. Although I understand that prices change in 2 years time, Rs.3500 for a blouse is crazy. No one takes responsibility for anything and group together to say that it is my mistake for not giving clear instructions. I had a good experience with them before, but after this, I will never return. The least they can do is be uprfront about their charges so that people aren’t shocked when they decide to only share it in the end. I do not recommend this place.

Very bad experience here. I got to know about this place through an instagram video. I looked at the reviews, they were mixed opinion, but I took a chance looking at their history of 18 years or so. It was my wedding mantrakodi blouse, very horrible work done. Id asked them to get a lace stiched to the blouse, which i'd provided to them, they did it so bad, I asked them to do it neatly again. They spoiled the whole material of the blouse trying to stitch again and again on it. And they were asking 3000 rs for such a bad stitching work. I was so disappointed as I had given them more than a month to do the stitching and they kept delaying it for one more week. And my wedding was at hand, I had to go to another small tailors and get some small changes whatever was possible. Since it was my mantrakodi blouse I couldn't even get another blouse stiched for it. I'd never ever recommend anyone to visit or give their clothes for stitching here. I was fooled by their 'experience' but it's of no use. The owner was not courteous, she acts very rude and the way she talks is also very bad to all her customers.

My recent experience with Nirmal garments was truly impressed that I share... We gave them 5 blouses for stitching.they stitched in 2 days without any alterations..we are very satisfied with their work. The another thing that cannot be left out is that their customer service....was very good and Nirmala aunty's personality is very sweet ❤️ highly recommend...thank you Nirmal garments

Kindly read entire post if u dont want to regret. Worst experience ever. Dint wanted to give even 1 star but no other option if have to share my experience here. I had given one saree blouse here after seeing instagram reels as I was new to Ekm. For 1 day they charged 2000 which way too much , I come from bangalore there for 2 hrs stitching they charge only 900 rs. Since I wasn't in rush I thought to give for a week which was 1200 rs again way too expensive, still I thought may be it would be worth it. After 1 week , I went on a Sunday to pick my blouse , after reaching there the staff tells that they cnt handover the blouse as it's Sunday n owner is around. I was like what rubbish is this , as I had called the owner the same day morning n she asked me to come whenever to pick it up. Wasted my time there by arguing with the staff. Anyways left that day and went back next day morning again to just waste my time n ruin my day. The blouse was not at all to my measurements , dint had the detailing that I had asked for. They said they will alter and give. I had to login for work at 12pm n already it was 11am. They took for alteration , n kept me waiting for nearly 45 mins , I asked how long it will take they said more 15 mins . At this point I lost it , as I have given the blouse prior 1 week, paid the advance amount , made me drive all the way there twice , still nothing is done properly. The staff keeps on blaming each other, owner wasn't there. Called her up , she also doesn't take responsibility or being sorry for anything. Staffs also not sorry for what happened. At the end had to pay the entire amount. Not at all professional. Very bad experience wasted so much time was late for my work almost for 1.5hrs. Never recommended.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Nirmal Garments. I gave my blouse for stitching, but during the trial, I received something completely different from what I had specified. The blouse was extremely tight and didn’t fit me at all. I had clearly requested a “curved rectangle” neckline, but they stitched a V-shaped one instead. During the measurement process, the owner, Nirmala, was quite arrogant and dismissive. She barely listened to my requirements and insisted on doing things her way, indicating a sense of superiority rather than professionalism. What made things worse was their refusal to accept responsibility initially. Instead of addressing the issue, the staff tried to blame me until I showed them proof of my original request. I was charged Rs. 1800 in total (Rs. 1200 for stitching, Rs. 500 for cups, and Rs. 100 for lining), but the quality did not match the price. The cups used were of poor quality and lacked proper shape. I had to go through multiple rounds of alterations to make the blouse wearable—all from the same place. Even after realizing the mistake, they refused to take accountability, blaming each other—the tailor, the one who altered it—and eventually blamed my body type, which was both insensitive and unprofessional. This stitching center may have been famous once, but with such poor customer service and unwillingness to take responsibility, it is bound to lose its reputation. Their attitude and lack of attention to detail are enough to drive customers away. I’m very disappointed and would not recommend Nirmal Garments to anyone who expects professional tailoring and respectful treatment.

I never write reviews, but my recent experience with Nirmal Garments has left me so thoroughly impressed that I had to share it. We brought them a very beautiful material. However, we bought the last piece, so it was quite scarce and normally would’ve been a bit of a challenge to sew into a full length gown. But not only did they craft it flawlessly, they had it ready the very next day. The gown was impeccably tailored, fitting exactly as I’d imagined. I requested a small shoulder adjustment, which they did on the spot in under 10 minutes.I want to give a special shoutout to the tailor, Akbar, who handled all the cutting and stitching. I was told by Mrs. Nirmal herself how challenging it was to work with the limited material, and I know to make a gown this beautiful out of it must’ve involved a lot of effort and precision, and he has my heartfelt appreciation. That being said, the entire team was warm, respectful, and professional. I was especially charmed by Mrs. Nirmala. She has the kind of air around her that assures you you’re in good hands. One look around her store adorned with awards, accolades, and newspaper features tells you all you need to know about the quality of her store. I am beyond pleased with the result and service. I went to Nirmala fashions to get 3 blouses stitched on recommendation by Raji at almarah where I had purchased the sarees. I was meeting Nirmala Chechi for the first time. She was so warm and welcoming. Akbar took my measurements . Nirmala Chechi insisted that I try them out in her presence so she can fix things if needed. Well the blouses were perfect!! Needed no adjustments!! I have never worn better blouses before. Next time I come to Cochin, I will certainly be getting my blouses done here and no where else. Great place!! Great customer service! Great people Nirmal garments is the best. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I have two very simple patterned kurta and pants for stitching, I gave them over two weeks to complete the stitching. I didn’t rush them at all. When I went to pick it up, I found that they had used very cheap buttons, one set they didn’t do the work I asked them. And the charge is obscenely expensive. One kurta is 1000, and bottom is 1000. No embroidery no exhaustive pattern- the pricing is quite scandalous. Please be aware of this, ask them before hand, they are not at all reasonable.

Excellent Last-Minute Tailoring at Nirmal Garments Nirmal Garments was my last resort for getting my saree blouses stitched after a last-minute saree purchase. I was informed that they offer one-hour stitching, so I didn’t have high expectations regarding the outcome. However, they truly surprised me! The outfits they tailored were perfect—I didn’t need any alterations. One standout aspect of my experience was the owner, Nirmala. Despite the store being crowded, she remained pleasant and ensured all details were noted correctly. The staff was also wonderful to work with, especially the head tailor, Basheer, who did an excellent job. If you're in Ernakulam and need a reliable tailor, Nirmal Garments is definitely the place to go!

Found this place through wonderful reviews on Google. Was a bit hesitant as I needed a few pieces stitched in one day and was severely time constrained. It turned out to be an amazing experience. Every staff peesent were very professional, friendly and accommodating. They were able to replicate what I needed to a tee in the limited time and all the pieces turned out very beautiful and at affordable rates as well. Heartfelt thanks to the entire team. Will definitely visit again.

I found out about this store recently through an instagram reel. Two of my friends suggested me to try giving my clothes to tailor here. As I live out of town I needed my materials stitched within a certain time frame. I have had very bad experiences in the past with other stitching centers so I was very reluctant to give all my materials at one location. So I just gave a few initially to see how its stitched. I needed two blouses stitched urgently. I dropped these materials and said I would come to return in about 3-4 hours after some shopping. Nirmala-owner promised it would be done along with another salwar set. She also suggested a very creative pattern for the back of my saree blouse neck. After I returned, I was surprised by how perfectly they stitched the blouses within such a short period of time and my salwar! It was not just done so quickly it fit me like a glove!!! I didn't even need to make any further fixes like I do with other places. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs their materials stitched quickly and perfectly! The perfection shows how experienced they are! Nirmala (owner)-she is very creative and is very up to date with fashion as well! Please try them out once and then you will never go anywhere else!!! The staff is highly skilled and talented at this place!

I went here for the first time to stitch 2 blouses and a dress. The stitching was absolutely perfect. Even the slight alterations that I had they were so nice enough to correct it then and there. Even a cutting change that I wanted last minute was done then and there. They follow one policy - to make their customers happy and that's the best part. I absolutely loved getting my blouses and dress stitched here. The blouses look like they were made perfectly to my body. The dress also so nice. Nirmal aunty is super welcoming and Akbar bhaiyya and Lissy chechi did a superb job of cutting and stitching. Fair to the price we have to pay. 💓

After searching for a tailor who would get my salwar kameez ready in a couple of days, I decided to go with Nirmal Garments. I was very pleased when I picked up my dress in two days, with the fit and the customer service. Nirmala, the owner, was especially helpful on the phone with all my queries. I would definitely go back.
