After a decade bought a saree, a family friend recommended this place,what can I say, bit worried when Priya suggested a design without sleeve and a v neck but it turned out perfect . stitching is of very good quality, finishing is excellent, they have done a good job.Few words about the owner , lovely young girl , well informed , polite and she knows her stuff, highly recommended , now I know where to go for my tailoring needs.

I've been to the studio three times. The overall experience was positive. Vidhya is my go-to person for new design suggestions for each of my outfits, and the stitches are flawless.
She is very accommodating to customers. The trust was quickly established after a few visits.
From the main road, the studio is conveniently reachable, and the delivery was on time.

Vidya and her team at BYG are highly talented. Most of the time I go to her (know her for 4-5 years now) with multiple pieces and no idea how to get them stitched and she always manages to make them all look different. The fittings are always very close to the mark and her new master is even better. I recently stitched 3 blouses for a family wedding that all required no adjustments!!! 😮 The fitting was great the first time around and fit like a glove. Start with a small order and I guarantee that you'll return to BYG again and again.
Quality of work: High.
Finishing of garments: Excellent.
Fitting: Excellent.
Prices: A tad expensive, but acceptable.
NOTE: They only accept payments in cash (digitally or physically) so you'll have to budget for that.

For past 4 years, I know about BYG Designer Studio. She is very responsive , always with a smiling face , friendly interaction and delivers on time . I got many blouses,salwars & anarkalis stitched from her and they are all so impressive. The fit is very perfect and I had nothing to alter. The work is neat and she understands what you want and work towards it. Also she gives many ideas for me on how stitching can be done. One of the best tailor here for me. Highly recommended shop!! 😍

Their work and customer service is impressive. They pay attention to all the requirements you have and deliver it accurately. Initially I gave a saree to stitch it into a dress,which turned out to be very very pretty and measurements were accurate. Since then no turning back. Elavarasi from BYG follows up regularly and gives updates. A good place to trust with your clothes and the time they take to deliver is also reasonable.

The 2 dresses we wanted completely fantabulous for a memorable event.. the most important dresses, we received with a splendid surprise, truly. The kids loved those dresses the moment they tried in the studio. We did no alterations then, it was delivered perfectly with what we requested and agreed.
Truly felt as a great job, well handcrafted efforts and wonderful output.
Inclined towards BYG very much.
It all started from a friends reference, definitely wanted to give a try. Was always a little doubtful until the day we saw those dresses. We trusted in reviews, friends reference and finally the cost. Higher the cost, better the quality was seen here.

I got a lengha stitched from a saree which fit very well. Also got a saree blouse sewn and that fit me like a glove. I wanted to make the sleeves shorter but was unable to do so due to catching a flight. That is the only change I would have made to that blouse. It was almost perfect!
The owner was very accommodating from the time I entered the store and took her time to understand what I want. Helps getting yourself organised before going in. I also had a look at their aari works on display and was mesmerised!
I would recommend them anytime!! In fact I will be shipping my blouses to her for tailoring from Australia moving forward.

BYG designer studio is a recently opened boutique in Velachery, awayffrom the bustle and traffic. One thing that really struck me was the ample parking space. I availed their inaugural offer of 50% off. A+ tailoring services, the staff were kind and courteous, listened to what I wanted and were helpful with their suggestions. The fit of the blouse was perfect. Would recommend to all, pricing is on par with quality of services. Looking forward to getting more outfits done by them!

I got my wedding blouse and lehenga stitched over here. They are very understanding and stitch according to what you want . They've done a wonderful job for my lehenga because evey other place i went to did not contemplate with me. The fitting was good as well .I would definitely recommend this place.

Definitely not happy with the stitching or experience. I had given a blouse , saree and chudidhar which was taken for a special occasion. All 3 pieces were very badly stitched and when reached out they made the alterations but still the fitting was bad. No requirement was fully noted and was not fully completed. Even a very small thing like saree tassels wasnt done as per requirements. I understood that mistakes happen and this was a one time thing, when conveyed the same to the owner, her response was just very unprofessional. Certain requirements were not completed even after reminding.

Stitch Quality: Honestly, the stitch was perfect and my wife liked it a lot
Feedback: The saree falls was done incorrectly. Thatz completely acceptable. Mistakes do happen.
But when someone comes in for alterations for the mistake you have committed, be apologitic first. A simple sorry can keep the relationship healthier. Hope the feedback is taken positively.
