You had initially given Raymond fabric for fresh stitching of one pant and one shirt, which was completed to your satisfaction, as you yourself mentioned that the shirt stitching was fine. There was no complaint raised at the time of delivery regarding workmanship or quality for the newly stitched garments. Subsequently, you requested alteration work on garments that were NOT stitched at our shop (including blazers and a pant). As a professional policy, we normally do not take responsibility for outside garments, because original measurements, fabric margins, and stitching allowances vary and are beyond our control. However, purely as a goodwill gesture, we agreed to help you with the requested alteration. Regarding the pant length concern: • The available fabric margin in the pant allowed only limited extension. • Despite this limitation, we extended the length to the maximum possible extent (approx. 1.5 inches) without damaging the garment structure or finish. • Altering beyond that point would have compromised the quality and balance of the pant, which we ethically do not do. We also wish to clarify that a trial room was available, and fittings were checked before final handover. At no point was there an intention to rush or ignore your concern. Our team made every reasonable effort to accommodate your request within technical and material limits. We take pride in being a bespoke tailoring studio, focused on precision, honesty, and customer satisfaction. Constructive feedback is always welcome, and if any stitching done by us has an issue, we always rectify it promptly. Our team informed you that with the available fabric, achieving perfect symmetry—especially for prints, sleeve balance, and length—would be technically challenging. Despite this, we proceeded only after receiving your confirmation. At SAM Fine Suits, we specialise primarily in formal tailoring and bespoke menswear, where fabric quality, measurements, and pattern alignment play a critical role. Casual or beach-style shirts made with insufficient fabric naturally restrict tailoring flexibility. As a professional practice, we always stitch one trial piece first to assess fit and finish before proceeding further—this step was done purely to avoid inconvenience to you. At SAM FINE SUITS, we work primarily with branded fabrics such as Raymond, Reid & Taylor, and other premium mills, where pricing and margins are fixed and limited. The margins on such branded fabrics are not excessive, and hence bargaining beyond a reasonable level is not possible. Regarding GST, as per Indian law, 5% GST is mandatory on fabric and is charged separately on the invoice. GST is a government levy, not a discount mechanism, and cannot be waived or absorbed by any registered business. We regularly offer 10–15% discount on the fabric base price (per meter) wherever possible, before GST, which is fully compliant with tax regulations. Any suggestion that “discount means subtracting GST” is factually incorrect. Our pricing reflects genuine branded material, lawful billing, and professional tailoring standards.
