This has to be one of the worst tailor experiences I’ve ever had—and honestly, even that feels like an understatement.
I went in for a very simple blouse stitching for Vishu. No design, nothing complicated. Because I needed it within 30 hours, I was charged over ₹2000, which I agreed to and even tipped the tailor.
The next day, it wasn’t ready. I had to make another trip, spending extra on taxi fares. Finally, when I did receive the blouse, it didn’t fit at all—my sleeves wouldn’t even go through. I called them, and they brushed it off like it was nothing, so I had to go back yet again.
On my third visit, they said they’d fix it by removing extra stitching. I sat there in the heat, dealing with mosquitoes, while they tried to adjust it—but the real issue was that the blouse had been stitched with completely wrong measurements. Even after multiple attempts and rework, it still didn’t fit.
There was no apology, no accountability, and no offer of a refund. Just excuses.
In the end, it was a complete waste of money, time, and a perfectly good piece of clothing. For something as basic as a simple blouse, this experience was beyond disappointing.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

I found out about Appu and Pappu through instagram reels and I was looking for an urgent and reasonable pricing for stitching. I wish I knew about Malathy earlier. She is not just an amazing tailor but also a beautiful person. She has great suggestions and puts every effort into her stitching. I got my moms and grandma's saree blouses stitched and they were so impressed. I will be referring Malathy to all my relatives and friends as I already have. I will continue to get my clothes stitched from her. Highly recommended.

Had a good experience. We wanted to stitch top n umbrella cut skirt for my 13 year old daughter n got it within 2 days. It was perfectly stitched. Got it on time. Very friendly woman owner n the charge was normal.

I visited this shop after seeing a reel on Instagram, hoping for a good experience. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. How come the neck we showed ended up completely different from what we asked? To our surprise, both mine and my friend’s blouses came out with the same neck design – actually the same blouse pattern for both of us 😅. The fitting, especially around the shoulders, was also uncomfortable. Even with a week’s time to stitch, the outcome didn’t meet expectations, and it cost ₹1000 for a princess cut blouse.
I honestly don’t know why there are so many positive comments here. I usually stitch my own dresses and only gave it to them this time because of lack of time. In the end, I had to come back home and stitch the shoulders properly myself, but still at the function everyone commented about the poor stitching. If their work was truly as good as the comments say, they wouldn’t have stitched the shoulder and neck this poorly. As a first-time customer, this was not the experience I hoped for, so I wouldn’t recommend this shop.

Wasted my day just for them to open the shop

I have called them before visiting to the shop and enquired abt closing time and the person told me tht it’s open till 7:pm and I took break from my wrk and reached by 4:15 and called them they mention tht they r on person and other person in some wer out it will take her some 30 mint to reach I waited nearly 1 hour and called the person to make sure tht they r reaching and to check to time but the call was not answered I feel it was a waste of time for me even after making sure and telling them tht will reach today they don’t bother abt customer I think simply wasting my time standing in hot sun
Not at all happy if they would hv mention the first time when I called my half day salary wild not be wasted

Not a good customer experience, less work and more talk. Zero professionalism, the lady there is very rude and I’d suggest not to go there, you have much better tailors in Kochi like Faraas designers whom I discovered very later. She only knows to talk back but her worth ethic is very poor. I’d recommend them to change their behaviour first

Very good experience...I only had two days time to get the dress stitched and they completed the work within a single day...I was so happy and satisfied with their work... The owner was really friendly and she only charged the normal rate eventhough the work was done in a short period of time.

WORST EXPERIENCE! If you are seeing this review please find another place to get cloths stitched. I had given two cloths to stich and had requested the tailor to give it in three days as it was for an urgent event. The tailor agreed and i trusted her. When i came back she had only stiched one of the two that to in a totally different pattern. Then has the guts to tell me thats the pattern i told. She is a LIAR and a very HOSTILE LADY. She also didnt even start stitching the other one. She thinks ruining the cloth and then returning the money would fix everything. PLEASE GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE BUT NOT HERE!!!

Two tops were sewn in two days. Whenever you call rapidly and ask to change the pattern, just as the fashion in Paris changes in minutes, after cutting the first pattern, the only thing left to do is stitch the pattern itself.

I came to Kochi on a short vacation from the US and googled for a ladies tailor when I saw Appu & Pappu tailors with 4.8 rating. Got few blouses stitched along with falls and beadings for Sarees. Malathi, a very unassuming lady took measurements & my instructions and gave me perfectly stitched blouses. Great job done and that too within a week. I recommend this Taylor sincerely to all those who do not look for plush showrooms but care for the end result.
