Great fabrics and know how to push their products.
Tailoring is not up to mark. Got a custom stitched blazer, the shoulders were not well done, but they insisted that was fashion.
Post trials, my son insisted that it wasn't a great fit. But at that point, it couldn't be fixed. It cost us 20000 and could be worn only once because of the fit. Tried to alter, but no extra material was left in that jacket.

I had an excellent experience at Hong Kong Tailors ! (5 linen shirts and 2 pants) The craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly impressive. The tailor took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and delivered a perfect fit.

Great unique Linen Fabric Choices. Been this store customer for last 3 years.. Have experienced the quality and durability of materials purchased from this store and must say one of the best place for if you are linen liking person.
Secondly and mainly their design and tailoring never failed the expectation infact exceeded the expectation. Perfect finish on whatever designed and tailored so far.

These people will look very professional on the first hand and then once we have given our order, these people will be like whatever im stiching is the fashion.
I have given cloth to stich uniform to be worn in a Company, and being a girl i asked them not to make anything girly in shirts specifically as i wanted a very professional shirt and pant.
Also I gave cloth for 3 pairs but they told only 2 could be stitched, i agreed and proceeded.
When i tried the first pair stiched by them, i was all which i never asked , the shirt was not of normal shirt he made it as girls fitting chudidaar dress and had extra stiches on the back like there in chudidar which I specifically mentioned not to do.
After the trail of one pair also i told them to rectify it for the second pair atleast they said ok ok and then after longgg i got the second pair which was as same as the first one.
When i asked he said girls have to wear shirt pant like this only, who is he to decide how i should wear my uniform ? And they charged hefty 4000 rs money for stiching 2 shirts and 2 pants, which is all waste.
Dont waste your time here, they are surely customized tailora but they will customise according to themselves not the customers

We are extremely sorry that you had to face this issue but when I asked my person here at the site, he says he clearly mentioned the fabric cost as 1650 a mtr and he’s charged you for two pants.
We are here for many decades now and I don’t see the necessity for us to cheat our clients. It may have been a mistake in communicating the same. I apologise for that.
What matters to us is the service we provide with good quality fabrics and great stitching for which our clients have already shown us a lot of appreciation.
Thank you to bring this here. Have told my team to be extremely careful in mentioning prices. There shoulnt be any misunderstanding.

Been a long time customer. Going there after 25 yrs. For the label of offering, customer service is pretty poor. I had to go for a trial fit and they didn’t get it right twice. No general courtesy to offer free delivery inspite of the mess up.
Got 8 shirts stitched. Still made a mistake with pocket design. Also during measurement the specific suggestion provided for ensuring correctness is where the issue was for me to go twice.
Overall the front desk is not very welcoming!!! Will not go again!!!!

The only tailoring team that could influence my husband to switch to custom made formals from being addicted to readymades from well known brands. HONG KONG tailor just nailed it for us. Their precision and fit are second to none. I know this place since I was a kid. I used to accompany my uncle during my summer vacation visits to chennai. Back then Mrs. Kanchan’s father used to run the brand. Today after so many decades it feels surreal to get back to them for my life partner’s formal wardrobe. I must applaud them for the lovely collection of fabrics they have ! Makes it so easy, just like one stop shop. Having said that , their amazing options spoil you for choice.
Having shifted out of chennai to Bangalore , during my recent visit to chennai for just about 2 days I asked Kanchan if I could come over and select the fabrics and get them stitched in 48hrs. Much to my surprise she agreed spontaneously and was so courteous and kind to be personally there to welcome us at the store and definitely helped us making the best choice. Icing on the cake is that she got 12 shirts and 3pants done so quickly. Made my experience so so seamless. And we are so impressed with the quality of stiching , just just PERFECT. I feel so grateful , couldn’t resist putting out this heartfelt review and spread word about such a good team and Kanchan ( owner HONGKONG TAILORS). Thanks again dear. Your warmth and smile is soul satisfying!

I paid 15000 for material and stitching charges in order to get a proper fit uniform for my job. Quality of the material which they claimed wrinkle free was o my with wrinkle. The stitching was horrible. I asked for a particular pattern and mentioned at least 10 times while measurement but all in vain. This place was recomended by my dad. May be few years ago they had a good quality, but they have lost the touch of good quality. First and last visit here

I stitched 4 shirts and 2 trousers for almost 25k 3 years back, which I felt was very pricey and nothing super special. One of the trousers had the bottom fold opened up and this shows how careless their stitching has been. This is despite me preserving it and using it minimally.

I had ordered my wedding suit from a famous tailor in Chennai but they totally messed it up and they were not able to correct it. I approached Hong Kong Tailors like 4 days before my wedding and to be honest they saved the day for me. Their team patiently explained and helped me pick a material and they did an excellent work with the Suit as well. The fit was excellent and by far the best. I was really surprised they were able to deliver it with such great workmanship that too at such short notice. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team at Hong Kong Tailors. Had 2 pants stitched from them. Pricey for what they offer. Already had the buttons come off from one of the pants and then had to send it back to them for repair. Now have the same issue of buttons coming off in the other pant (stitched about 4 months ago only). Honestly, quite frustrated with it. Will not recommend this place.

I would like to share one of my worst experience from Hong Kong. We have ordered to stitch a full sleeve shirt for my brother's marriage, at that time their 26 years of experienced guy said this material is more than enough for the shirt for you, After a exact one week of time he called me and simply said, sir this cloth material is not enough for full sleeve so we have decided to stitch half sleeve and cut too. i wondered how that guy think like that and how dare to tell like that. In a marriage can any one wear half sleeve?? I don't know they behave like that. Finally they said to us to but a new cloth material and again give that to them.. Never Ever worst experience.

I live outside India and was looking for a tailor to make mostly shirts and trousers (and some odd jackets) when I visit family in Chennai. I have been coming to Hong Kong Custom Tailors every few years over the last decade or so. I knew Mr. Arjun when he was running the shop and was an exceptional at customer service and attention to detail. He always delivered exactly what he promised when he promised. He once stayed open until 10pm so that I could collect my clothes before leaving that night. The establishment is now run by Kanchan, his daughter, who has expanded the store and is dedicated to the quality of the product.
I have been to a number of tailors in India. Mostly, I have provided example shirts that they have used to make new shirt, usually with some alterations. The quality of the workmanship at Hong Kong Custom Tailors is very good. Details like the backing used and stitching/tailoring are excellent.
There is a wide variety of cloth available in store. This includes a variety of good quality linens - both shirting and suitings. There is a good variety and colour of shirting including a lot of cotton poplins of good quality. I usually purchase some cloth in store and also have them make up shirting and trousering that I have purchased elsewhere.
Please note that the construction of coats (jackets) includes a fused canvas. They will make it for you without the canvas if you wish.
In my experience, if you are particular about details of tailoring, discuss it and ensure that you make time for a fitting. They will go to considerable lengths to ensure that you have the product you want.
My wife very much likes the shirts they make. I will continue to use them.

For the amount spent, the quality of the finished shirts and trousers aren't worth it. Many loose threads, some of the stitching on the trousers are already unraveling after two uses. Wish they took more care while tailoring my cloth.

BEST PLACE FOR ALL YOUR TAILORING NEEDS.... very courteous staff, polite and respectful owner, great customer relationship....A one stop shop for all your garment requirements.... A Perfectionist? A Psychopath? I become one, depending on who is looking at me. To put it simply, I am a very particular person. I must have visited the shop at least 5 times giving my plus/minus corrections/inputs and preferences. There has not been a single frown from anyone in the shop. And, all my corrections/requirements were met as I wanted them to be.
This tells you they are courteous, understanding and professional. Hallmark of a champion business! Top notch fabric quality, top notch stitch quality. Special shoutout to Kanchan, the gal (HaHa!) who owns and runs the shop. I believe her attitude contributes a lot to the experience you have with HongKong Tailors.

The most satisfying tailoring experience ever.
A year prior had a serious request for three pairs of trousers and three shirts for work was under two days and they delivered, rescently wanted to make some custome designed trousers one of a kind patterns and something new more of aristocrat standards. The staff were so friendly and ameicable to work closely and provide tips to how desired results could be achieved. They have proved even with a variety of fabrics including Lenin, cotton, Cotton beaded and even light polyester can be crafted to look like designer wear.
I am glad to have such a tailor to enrich my fashion sense.

This is one of the Oldest and finest custom tailoring unit in Adyar. It was founded and run by an esteemed cloth maker for men ( Mr Pahlajani) and now good branded cloth material is available for sale there itself. It is now run by an enterprising and efficient lady Mrs Kanchan Pahlajani who is very courteous , well educated and cultured. Overall timely and efficient service and thy name is Hongkong tailors in this part of the City. My rating: 5/5

NOT GOOD NOWADAYS!!
I GOT FEW PANTS STITCHED DURING THIS YEAR. ALL OF THE stitches weared out just after single try. This is happening for the second time.
They charge @700/₹ per pant. But the stitches are not intact. BAD tailoring.

I think overrated on the reviews they have to update for younger generation.I paid around 1.3k for a pair but stitching is not much good(too old fashion)...I said that I want to be fit while in measurement but they stitch loosely..

But do note for alteration they only alter suits they stitch.
They do not take up alteration of suit even for a long standing customer of 20 years if it is not stitched by them .
